August was a great month for Glenn and Danielle Oakley. They celebrated the completed build of their first investment property and received $5,000 as recipients of Simple Property Investment’s Leap Into Property Grant.

Glenn and Danielle applied for the grant in 2016 which was offered to help one lucky family begin their property investing journey.

“We had been wanting to get an investment property for years to help with our financial future but didn’t know where to start so it sounded like a good idea to get some advice. So we finally decided that if we are going to do this, now is a good time. The grant was an incentive.”

With three children, Tayla, Luke and Rhylee, Glenn and Danielle realise they need to be proactive about their future.

They met with Nick Holden, Director of Simple Property Investment for their complimentary 1-1 property investment session. He helped them create a strategy to suit their current financial situation, stage of life, and goals.

From there, the Oakleys chose from a selection of properties that fit their criteria – and they could comfortably finance.

They admit to feeling it would be a ‘daunting process’, however here are their thoughts after their build was complete:

“It was an easy process. Although there were many documents to get through, there was always someone we could talk to if we weren’t sure of anything.

We will be telling our friends and family to speak to Nick if they want an investment property.”

The Oakley’s first investment property was quickly tenanted and the only thing they need to think about now is what to do with $5,000.
